Montenegro – Hungary 11:16 (3:3, 2:7, 4:4, 2:2)

The last match of the third day of qualifying for the European World League was played yesterday in
Kotor(MNE). Up for grabs the first place of group A and which saw Hungary and Montenegro face off. The
Hungarian team defeated Montenegro 16:11 and secured 1st place in Group A.
The match was balanced for 3 periods and the two teams were equal. The second period with 4
consecutive goals scored by Nemet, Csacsovszky, Ven Vigvari and Konarik was decisive for the victory of the
Hungarian team. The hungarian team coached by Tamas Marcz managed to put under the Montenegrin
team with a very fast game and very little mistakes in the attacking phase. At the end of the second period
Hungary was leading 10 to 5. In the other two periods the two teams scored a lot but in the end Marcz's
side kept the 5-goal lead that allowed them to finish in first place.
In the quarter-finals, the Hungarians will meet the team in the second position in group B while the
Montenegrins will face the winner of the same group that will come out of the result of Germany – France
which will be played on March 15th. At the moment France and Spain have 3 points while Germany are at 0
points.
